The girls are gaining confidence with every game.

I?m really proud of the efforts of the girls today. This was a very tough team from Georgetown, and our girls showed they can play with anyone, from any state.

I'm proud of the girls for the accomplishment. It should make the kids feel good, and it should make the school feel good to be recognized by our peers like that.

That (semifinal) loss had to be the toughest they had to endure. It took us a while to get into it but we pulled it out.

They won't go defensively from end line to end line. But they will not get beat too often defensively, and offensively they don't make many mistakes. Their mistakes will be missed shots. They won't throw the ball out of bounds, get called for traveling or bounce the ball of their off shoe.

Sun Valley always has a tough team. They might not finish with a great record, but they will always come out and give you a game. They are well-coached, and have solid players through the line-up.

They were everything they were supposed to be. They moved the ball incredibly well. They got some inside buckets on us and it took a while to stop that. Then, when we stopped that, the girl heated up from 3-point land. So it seemed like every time we cut something off that they did, they found another place to start scoring.

Back around Christmas time, I really thought this team was jelling into a nice team. Just the way they started to play as a five - they really started to get the concepts we were starting to teach.

Ashley creates her own shots and sees the floor really well. She gets herself open and finds the good look.

Our defense has been carrying us. They always say that offense wins games, but defense wins championships. That?s starting to show through.
